Trapeze Artist Falls And Dies In Front Of Horrified Families At Circus

A trapeze artist tragically died in front of a horrified crowd of families at a circus.

Marina B, 27, from Mallorca, Spain, was performing in the Paul Busch Circus tour when the tragic incident occurred.

The young acrobat had been performing for over 10 years and regularly shared her love for her art on social media, stating her work was ‘worth every second.’

Marina toured the world with her circus skills and said: “For me, every show is an opportunity to share my passion for what I do. I believe that art has the power to create unforgettable moments.”

Fans of the trapeze artist have shared their tributes on social media.

One user writes: “Forever young and beautiful in circus history. May she now rest in peace forever.”

“So sorry for this accident. She was so good,” a second person adds.

“Marina, rest in peace wherever you are!” somebody else pens. ” We will always remember your beautiful smile and your enthusiasm for life.”

Tragically, whilst performing in Bautzen, East Germany, Marina fell to her death.

Marina was performing a high-risk solo stunt at around 5.45 p.m. on Saturday when she horrifically fell from a trapeze swing around five metres high.

The young performer plunged to the ground in front of a crowd of nearly 100 visitors, many of whom were families.

Audience members have reported streaks and cries, with parents having to cover their children’s eyes from seeing Marina, who died from her injuries.

Many visitors fled the tent following the horrifying incident.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, and an investigation into the Spanish performer’s death has been launched.

Following Marina’s tragic death, a message has been displayed on the circus’s ticket booth stating: “Due to a bereavement, the circus will be closed.”

The police have since confirmed that the young star had not been using a safety rope when she fell; however, she was not legally required to.

Flying Trapeze states that some tricks are: “So complicated that it isn’t possible to find an arrangement of the safety lines that avoids them tangling or wrapping around your body during the trick.”

Police spokesman Stefan Heiduck shared: “She [Marina] doesn’t have to. She decides for herself whether to use a safety rope. No one else was in the ring during the accident.”

One circus employee told German newspaper Bild: “We can’t believe what’s happened”.

The head of Germany’s circus association, Ralf Huppertz, said to the news outlet: “It’s unusual for a well-trained artist like Marina to not survive a fall from just five meters. Perhaps she got dizzy on the trapeze.”

Police spokesman Heiduck said: “Trained experts from the crisis intervention are on hand to support those who need it. The team was immediately deployed and cared for the guests and other circus employees.”

Mayor Karten Vogt stated: “The accident has deeply affected us. On behalf of the city, I express my sincere condolences to the relatives and bereaved. Our thoughts are with the families and all those affected by this terrible accident.”

Paul Busch Circus is yet to issue a statement following Marina’s death.
