The former “America’s Next Top Model” judge suffered her injuries in 2022 while filming “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!” in the middle of the South African jungle.

In September 2025, Dickinson filed a lawsuit in the United Kingdom against ITV Studios, claiming she suffered permanent facial deformities and nerve damage that affected her speech, eating and drinking.

She is suing the British broadcaster for allegedly failing in its duty of care and is seeking £700,000 (a little less than a million dollars) in compensation.

Dickinson allegedly suffered “permanent traumatic scarring across multiple areas of her face, including the lips and mouth area, both cheeks, the chin and lower face,” per the lawsuit.

She believes that her fall was caused by a sleep medication given by a medic, the Mirror revealed Thursday, as well as the dark campsite.

The 70-year-old spoke about the incident to the Sun, saying, “It was the most frightening night of my life.

“Those motherf–kers left me there bleeding in the dark for 10 minutes,” she went on to claim. “The guy whose job it was to watch us was negligent. ITV had a duty of care and they let me down.”

She detailed her nose and lip being “bloody,” her chin “gashed open” and her being coming up “like a golf ball.”

Following her suit, ITV shared a statement, which read, “Janice Dickinson’s letter of claim has been received and reviewed.

“IAC operates a high level of safety protocols and the health, safety and welfare of all of our contributors are our No. 1 priority.

“We don’t recognise this version of events. However, we looked after Janice at the time, paid her medical expenses, flew her home to LA, and the I’m A Celebrity team were in regular contact with Janice and her representatives on an ongoing basis after she returned home to America until after the programme aired seven months later.”
